Offerings

The streets are littered in Bali with offerings to the Hindu Gods. It's quite a nice gesture to maintain a good relationship between people and spirits, but we have noticed that amongst the traditional banana leaf baskets of rice and flowers they more often than not contain: a fruitella, some hay and a cigarette. 

Perhaps this is where all the elusive tampons end up too (my search for tampax ended when a pharmacist asked if she could smoke it......)
